Webpage translation
The QGIS website is currently translated into french and german language. We are looking for more contributors to add more languages. All you need is to contact Werner Macho via the qgis-community-team mailing list to get a Joomla account. Werner will also add the necessary language environment for you, so you will only have to translate.
Steps to translate the webpage
- Go to http://www.qgis.org/administrator/ and login with your joomla account.
- Go to Components => Joom!Fish => Translation
- Select your language and content element (e.g.: 'french' and 'contents')
- Select a content you want to translate. Click on the file and start to translate. You can't damage the original text, only what you did.
Important Note: please be aware, that the content of some pages (e.g. advanced search and some of the software download pages) might be damaged, if you use the standard WYSIWYG editor, because the include javascript code. Best choice is to define "no editor" for your account in the user manager.
